Individual Therapy
Approach
In Individual Therapy I will help you explore the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are troubling you. What is keeping you from feeling content, at peace with yourself, and pleased with the direction your life is moving. Stress, anxiety, and depression impact all aspects of our lives. It is especially troubling when these concerns negatively impact our primary relationships.
I approach therapy from a non-judgmental and supportive position that will allow you to safely examine the struggles you may be currently experiencing. Engaging in therapy takes courage and a willingness to experience some discomfort, as what we explore may include issues that are difficult to discuss.
While I work with a variety of populations, my specialty is working with young adults. The college years, the transition from college to the working world, and the changes that take place in one’s 20s are especially challenging in this era. Many young adults find themselves pursuing a path different from what their family’s expectations might be. There may be cultural differences and expectations about gender roles, societal expectations, or family values that come into question.
